Wii

I want a Wii. If I wasn’t committed to getting a new MacBook, I would be getting a Wii rather soon. GD college preparedness. Yet, I am rather excited about several things:

  • The Democrats took the 110th Congress.
  • MSNBC has beaten Fox News in several time slots.
  • Dvorak’s blog is still a good read.

Merg-ness

Hrmm… some news over on Tech Crunch… Again:

More Merger Rumors – Xuqa, Dovetail, Zooomr

Acquired?

The acquisition rumor train is running at full steam. We’ve got the really small deals going through ebay (see our post yesterday rounding up the recent ones), and lots of chatter about the largest independent web sites looking for $1 – $2 billion (see Facebook and YouTube). Once Again

fedoralogo1.png

Every summer, I dive into the world on Linux. Last summer it was Suse, before that was Mandrake. I've intermittently used Ubuntu… but without any real faithfulness.

This Summer, I will embark on the journey that is Fedora Core 5.All seems inviting, but I'm sceptical… Since my first stroll down the Linux path, I've seen it grow allot. My current laptop wouldn't even boot the installer on the Mandrake 2004 release… and trying to install GenToo was hell.

However, I've decided to passup on the extreamly easy and the extreamly hard distros… and go for a full FLOSS one. God, I hope this goes well.
